The Matenadaran is financed by the state budget of the Republic of Armenia, contributions of individual benefactors and organizations, as well as foreign donations. During 2001-2006 the “Friends of Matenadaran” Benevolent Fund has implemented a number of basic programs which are of great importance for the functioning and development of this institution.
