Projects: New Manuscripts

In 2006 the Matenadaran collections have been enriched with 30 manuscripts and 21 printed books thanks to the donators of the "Friends of Matenadaran" Benevolent Fund.

During 2001-2006 the collections of the Matenadaran has been enriched with new manuscripts and printed books thanks to the donators of the “Friends of The Matenadaran” Benevolent Foundation.
The list of the manuscripts increase during 2001-2006:

Each donator having participated to the realization of the program “New manuscripts” has his name inscribed either in The Matenadaran Annual or in the 17th volume of the Banber Matenadarani collection (G. Ter-Vardanyan, “Increasing of the Matenadaran manuscripts between 1993 and 2006”, Banber Matenadarani, v. 17).

In September 2006 the 17th volume of the Banber Matenadarani being under press, data about manuscripts purchased October-December on RA budget sums have not been published in the Banber Matenadarani. The total of these purchased is 51 units, from which 34 manuscripts and 16 printed books and one encyclical. These units have been registered and added to the corresponding funds of manuscripts, printed books and archive documents after being treated. The table shows the last data of the manuscript collection of the Matenadaran.

The Matenadaran and the FMBF Direction are grateful to all the friends who contribute to save valuables documents of written culture in order to transfer them to the future generations.
